The Tejano Association for Historical Preservation Lorenzo de Zavala Chapter presents the 7th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Hispanic Pride Parade and Celebration in recognition of our Unions. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 716 will serve as the Parade Marshal. This parade will be in the same manner of the march held over 40 years ago when Cesar Chavez led a group of workers out of California’s vineyards on a 300 mile march, la peregrinacion, (the pilgrimage).
Following the parade you are invited to continue the celebration at Hidalgo Park for speeches by local dignitaries and elected officials. Hidalgo Park is located at 7000 Ave. Q Houston, TX. 77011-1532. For more information call 713-673-1418 or visit http://www.tejanoahp.org/
